Josh's plan for house district 1
Practical priorities. Real conservative Texas values.
Border security
Fight trafficking and fentanyl with strong state enforcement, better coordination, and support for rural sheriffs who cover large counties with limited manpower.
Property tax relief
Deliver real, lasting tax relief by tightening appraisals, protecting agricultural and timber exemptions, and helping families truly own their homes.
Jobs & Workforce
Support local industries and expand welding, CDL, manufacturing, and skilled trade programs so students step into good-paying careers close to home.
Schools
Strengthen rural schools with resources, discipline, parental involvement, and classroom-to-career pathways that lead to real jobs in Northeast Texas.
Land & Water Protection
Advance reliable, locally controlled water solutions that protect farms, timberland, and private property rights.
Public Safety
Fight fentanyl and trafficking with strong enforcement tools, coordinated agencies, and practical support for local law enforcement.
Roads & Transportation
Push TxDOT for safer roads, wider highways, stronger bridges, and faster travel across the I-30, US 82, and US 271 corridors.
Economic Development
Grow manufacturing, agriculture, timber, and defense-related jobs through strategic, locally guided development that protects working land and natural resources.
Broadband
Direct new broadband funding to real rural gaps and require providers to deliver dependable last-mile service, not just updated coverage maps.
Conservative Values
Christian, pro-life, and pro-Second Amendment leadership grounded in service, family, faith, and the conservative principles that define Northeast Texas.

We face challenges on many fronts. We must protect the conservative values that shaped our way of life. We must also make sure that prosperity from the America First Agenda and the strong Texas economy extends to the families and hometowns here in Northeast Texas. These are the fights that will define our future; they’re fights we must win, and that’s why I’m running for state representative.
